Key Responsibilities:Is responsible for the accurate and compliant period-end closing and reporting (monthly IFRS reporting and yearly Statutory reporting according Swiss law) in high quality and on-timeLeads and manages balance sheet account reconciliations of allocated accounts and ensures timely resolution action items identifiedEnsures compliance with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements and ensures all processes, policies and procedures are clearly defined and fully documentedPro-actively engages in the upcoming LDC (SAP4Hana) implementation and any other relevant projects Leads collaboration with and communication to key stakeholders, including senior business partners or auditors Provides accounting guidance and expertise to the businessIdentifies and drives improvements to sustain a highly effective and efficient accounting and reporting processLeads a diverse team of 3-5 direct, and 4 indirect reports at the NOCC Prague, and is actively engaged in their developmentRole models an inclusive and collaborative leadership style, driving business understanding and functional expertiseWhat you'll bring to the role:ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:University level degree in Business Administration/Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant, Swiss Certified Public Accountant or Swiss Chartered Expert in Financial and Managerial Accounting and Reporting preferredExtensive experience of IFRS accounting, reporting, compliance, technical accounting and SAP, previous experience in Swiss statutory auditing or consultancy is a plusProfound people, communication and presentation skills, sound experience in collaborating in cross-functional teams Organisation savy and adept in building relationships of all levels of our organisation Previous experience of delivery of impactful process & systems improvement.
