Are you the master of your own time? Our account managers are!

As our new Account Manager Benelux for our Prepared Foods division, you’ll be Marel’s closest contact to our customers; you get to interact with them one-on-one, in person, at exhibitions, demos or other occasions. This allows you to analyze their needs and offer them the best possible solutions. That’s because you understand all relevant details of the customers process and of Marel’s top-notch solutions.

  • Work in close collaboration withf Regional Sales Director, Account Managers, Industry Sales Managers, Partner Managers, and Regional Sales Operations
  • Analyzing customer performance and needs, identify opportunities and translate this into proposals for solutions to the customers
  • Building customer relationships by frequent customers visits and communication with different stakeholders.
  • Drive the sales of complex solutions; justify their value and help increase Marel’s market share while meeting customer requirements
  • Be responsible for realizing sales (targets in volume and achieving the best possible price and market share for complex solutions)
  • Be responsible for visit reports, opportunity registration and follow-up (maintaining data in Company CRM systems). Collect & share information on competitors’ activities, installed base, requirements, and developments with internal stakeholders

  • You have a bachelor degree within a technical area (preferably mechanical engineering / food processing technology).
  • Have previous working experience about 3 + years in a technical sales environment and you have the ambition to develop yourself further as a sales professional within a 1st class market leading company. Ideally you have experience within the machinery of food sector, but this is not a must.
  • Are a “hunter”: pro-active, emphatic, energetic and sharp, result driven, independent and you have an entrepreneurial mind-set. You are down to earth and you have a pragmatic way of approaching your job and its tasks.
  • Strong English and Dutch skills, both written and verbal.
  • You are willing to travel ca. 35% of your time.
