What you will do

As part of the Category Management Team you will optimize product categories. You will be an intermediate between Marketing, Sales and Retail. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build a long-term strategy (both internally as well as externally) that will create the optimal category development based on analyses, trends, and consumer research.
  • Monitor market developments (what are the new trends, how do the different retailers present and distinguish themselves, how do the categories develop, etc.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop customer and market insights and grow the overall business and category, managing the portfolio of L'Oréal products and new launches introduction
  • Analyze data to create compelling category stories and persuasive arguments to support L'Oréal's strategy in front of its retailers
  • Help developing expertise on the different categories ("shopper studies" and best practices) and you will compile and present reports on data, trends, in-store checks and competitors activity
  • Participate to the development of the best shelves of tomorrow, using your shopper knowledge and market studies

What we ask

  • You are available for 6 months, full time
  • You are fluent in English and either Dutch OR French (in speaking and writing)
  • You are in the bachelor 3 or master phase of your academic track
  • You are analytical, problem solving and organized
  • You are curious and take initiatives
  • You are creative and communicative
