Digital Marketing Intern

For our headquarters in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Digital Marketing intern, to join us in our mission to build up Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) capacity for aviation to meet its 2050 net zero commitment.

About SkyNRG

SkyNRG is a global leader in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Since 2010, the company has been scaling up SAF demand and production capacity for the industry to meet its 2050 net zero commitment. To date, SkyNRG has supplied SAF to over 40 airlines across the world and is now developing dedicated production facilities to support the shift from fossil jet fuel to sustainable aviation fuel. As a certified B Corp™ SkyNRG prioritizes producing the most responsible and sustainable SAF worldwide. Recognized as a sustainability leader, it maintains an independent Sustainability Board, which advises the company on feedstocks and provides strategic guidance on wide-ranging sustainability issues. SkyNRG’s operations are also certified against the RSB EU RED, RSB ICAO CORSIA and RSB Book and Claim standards. In November 2023 Macquarie Asset Management announced its 175 M€ investment in SkyNRG, enabling our further growth in the SAF industry.

About the role

We are looking for a tech-savvy marketing Intern to join our team for 6 months, preferably from May 1st onwards. As a digital marketing Intern, you will work within our Marketing & Communications department to support various digital marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing our online presence, engaging our audience, and promoting our sustainable aviation solutions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management and optimization of SkyNRG’s website to ensure a seamless user experience and strong online visibility.
• Create and maintain a reporting dashboard for our SkyNRG’s social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram) to measure brand awareness, audience engagement and results.
• Collaborate with teams from all business units to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email marketing and online advertising.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices in digital marketing.
• Support the implementation and optimization of marketing automation workflows using Microsoft 365 tools like Power Automate to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Provide general administrative support to the marketing department as needed.

Your profile*

As a growing company in a rapidly developing industry, we are looking for someone who likes to play an active role in building out our business and is not afraid of change. Ideally, you recognise yourself in the following:

• • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program for the duration of the internship, preferably in digital business, software and multimedia design, computer engineering or digital marketing
  • Strong understanding of the back-end processes and dev-work that go into digital marketing concepts and principles.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms, including website content management systems (e.g., WordPress), social media management tools (e.g., Buffer), and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Power Automate, is highly desirable.
  • CMS experience, CCS coding and HTML skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Python, php/django and AI experience is a pre.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for sustainability and interest in the aviation industry is a plus.
