The Global Planning team is responsible for organization and implementation of a complex Supply Chain operation, which consists of the creation and management of supply plans, inventory management and process control. They plan, implement and control the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements and partner with the different entities within the Value chain.

About the role

The Senior Value Chain Planning Manager is an experienced professional who has demonstrated expertise in value chain planning and has often assumed leadership responsibilities. They are responsible for strategic planning, optimization, and continuous improvement of the value chain. They oversee complex planning projects, make high-level decisions, and work closely with stakeholders across the organization. Senior planning managers may also mentor and provide guidance to junior planners, driving innovation and ensuring the achievement of value chain objectives. The ideal candidate is an expert in longer-term planning and has a proven track record of optimising a production and distribution network end-to-end. Some of your tasks could include:

  • Overseeing and refining value chain planning strategies and processes.

  • Conducting complex demand forecasting and analysis.

  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement.

  • Leading and managing value chain planning projects at a senior level.

  • Setting project goals, defining deliverables, and managing project timelines.

  • Mitigating risks and resolving issues to ensure project success.

  • Mentoring and coaching junior planners.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders and senior management.

  • Facilitating cross-functional teamwork and communication.

About you

  • Strong Academic record in supply chain management or equivalent.

  • Expert-level understanding of value chain planning processes and strategies.

  • Ability to develop and implement long-term value chain plans.

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills

  • Highly developed Influencing and interpersonal skills.
