Do you want to gain experience within healthcare consultancy during your studies? And discover whether consultancy is the right fit? We offer an internship within the domain of sustainability in healthcare.

As an intern you will have the opportunity to experience the consultancy profession during your studies. For this internship we are looking for a student who has affinity with sustainability within the health care sector.

In the Netherlands, the healthcare sector is responsible for approximately 7% of the national carbon footprint, making it a significant contributor to climate change and environmental pollution. The ‘Integral Healthcare Agreement’ (Integraal Zorgakkoord), and alongside the Green Deal 3.0, sets out agreements and an ambition to make the sector more sustainable.

During this internship you will:

  • Conduct market analyses to explore what has been written in the ‘IZA-regioplannen’ about sustainability
  • Design and conduct surveys & interviews to find out what regions are currently doing to make healthcare more sustainable
  • Identify ‘best practices’ that positively impact sustainability in healthcare

What will you learn from this experience?

What’s special about joining IG&H is that everybody will do their best to help you in any way they can. Which also means helping you with your personal development, by setting goals and making sure you progress. During your internship you and your IG&H mentor look at your personal and professional development. In addition to your internship assignment, you also participate in our Consultant Development Program. This development program consists of training courses, inspiration sessions and social activities.

Among many other things, you’ll learn to:

  • Structure ambiguous problems and make a roadmap on how to solve these problems
  • Use both quantitative and qualitative analysis to get a good understanding of the situation
  • Making sure solutions work out in real life, not just on a whiteboard
  • Present information in a way that’s new and understandable for everyone involved
  • Become a great communicator

What you bring

  • Currently studying at a university
  • In the final stages of your master’s program
  • You have excellent Dutch and English language skills
  • You are entrepreneurial and have humor
  • Genuine interest in sustainability within the healthcare sector
  • You have a top sport mentality; we are looking for talent that wants to continuously be better
  • Excellent communicational skills in Dutch: research-related activities and writing will be in Dutch

What we offer you

  • An internship between 3 to 5 months (open to discussion) where you will mainly conduct research
  • Smart collaboration with talented consultants who will stretch and support you as an intern
  • A truly inspiring Great Place to Work company where we put people first
  • A chance to contribute to make the Dutch healthcare sector more sustainable
