Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It… 

As a BI Data Analyst in our Data Strategy & Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that inform our business strategies. Your expertise in Power BI will enable us to visualize complex data sets, making them accessible and actionable for various stakeholders. You will be the linchpin in ensuring that data analytics are not just an abstract concept but a concrete tool for driving growth, efficiency, and innovation in our operations.

In this role, you will delve deep into the nuances of the hospitality industry, analyzing revenue streams and optimisation, market trends, customer preferences, and operational efficiencies. Your analyses will not just report on the status quo but will actively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. You will be expected to understand the intricacies of hotel operations, from room bookings and guest services to core KPI optimisation, turning these varied data points into a coherent story that guides decision-making.

Your work will involve close collaboration with various departments, including revenue, performance, marketing, finance, operations, and IT. This cross-functional interaction will not only aid in data collection and interpretation but will also ensure that your BI solutions are aligned with the diverse needs of the business. Guided by the Head of Data Strategy, you will be the bridge between raw data and strategic insights, communicating your findings in a way that is both compelling and easily understood by non-technical stakeholders. You will be player in fostering a data driven company culture and ensure stakeholders have complete trust in our data systems through methodical and proven analysis output.

What You’ll Do:

  • You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems or business data gaps, craft solutions, and implement them
  • You'll continuously monitor data quality, data integrity, and data privacy, and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • You'll design, build and automate business metrics into self-serve dashboards via Power BI
  • You'll analyze both qualitative and quantitative datasets, identify patterns and trends, and provide actionable insights
  • You'll develop and maintain data models and ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • You'll conduct reporting & analysis to support KPIs, business objectives, and research needs
  • You'll prepare and own projects in more advanced analytics

  • You'll design, process, and champion self-serve projects and data products for the organization
  • You'll stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data analysis, survey research, and business intelligence

Who you are:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in digital analytics, big data statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or a related field
  • You have at least 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence
  • You have a strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, report design, and dashboard development
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to think critically and logically
  • You are excellent in communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate the context and outcomes of complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • You have the ability to analyze and combine large data sets in data warehouse services
  • You are proficient in PowerBI (or similar), Excel, SQL, DAX, PowerQuery
  • A keen eye for Data Visualisation and provide consultation on the same
  • A working knowledge of Python or R is appreciated
  • You have interest and knowledge of advanced analytics, modeling and machine learning
  • Experience in hospitality data is an advantage
