THE ROLE

Does your heart beat faster when you see a vessel? Are you Engineer and interested in the maritime sector? We are looking for an Engineer Mechanical.

You are at the start of your career and looking for position as Engineer Mechanical,

within the department Workboats you will be part of an engineering team and work on a variety of deliverables to translate the technical building specification into the Basic and Detail Engineering package. You will be able to work in different fields of your expertise and over time develop even beyond.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

In this role you will be:

  • Executing the four phases of engineering: design check, basic engineering, detailed engineering and production support;
  • Assessing input of detailed engineering and suppliers;
  • Working closely together with all stakeholders;
  • Monitoring quality and organizing interface and system integration with other disciplines and co-makers;
  • Performing calculations related to load/power, strength and flow calculations in the mechanical engineering field;
  • Supporting the Class and National Authorities approval process;
  • Preparing technical space layouts, system diagrams and outfitting arrangements;
  • Preparing technical specifications for systems and equipment and/or assessment of supplier specifications;
  • Coordinating the outsourcing of work to external engineering and subcontractors.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Quality consciousness and a practical approach is in your blood. You are proactive, creative and working accurately. In addition, you meet the following features:

  • Bachelor degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering;
  • An interest in innovation and an open mindset to new technologies;
  • Good communication skills;
  • English is a must, Dutch is a plus.
