Group Finance is looking for a Head of Integrated Reporting with a strong financial reporting background and the ambition to lead a key finance function within ING. Based at our Head Office in Amsterdam, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, working closely with senior management, auditors and internal stakeholders in an internationally oriented environment.

The team

The Integrated Reporting team is part of Group Finance and is responsible for ING’s IFRS consolidated financial statements, SEC reporting and the Annual Report. The team delivers consolidated financial insights for key publications such as the Annual Report, quarterly financial press releases, bond prospectuses and Audit Committee materials. In addition, the team plays a central role in driving continuous improvements in reporting processes and in the implementation of new IFRS and SEC requirements.

Roles and responsibilities

As Head of Integrated Reporting, you lead this team and are accountable for both content and process excellence, as well as for developing people in a dynamic environment.

  • Strategic and operational leadership: You define and execute ING’s Integrated Reporting strategy, ensuring consistency, quality and relevance across financial disclosures. You oversee the delivery of consolidated external reports with clear stakeholder communication.
  • Financial reporting: You have end-to-end responsibility for ING’s Annual Report, IFRS consolidated financial statements and SEC reporting. You ensure that reporting is complete, accurate and timely, and that new requirements are translated.
  • Governance, control and quality: You establish and maintain a strong governance and control framework for financial reporting, safeguarding the integrity of ING’s external disclosures.
  • Stakeholder management: You act as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, international finance teams and staff departments.
  • People leadership and development: You lead, coach and develop a team of senior reporting professionals. You foster a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement, enabling team members to grow professionally.
  • Change: You drive reporting process improvements, data quality enhancements and automation initiatives. You actively contribute to Finance change programmes and standardisation of reporting processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

How to succeed

  • Education and experience: You hold a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. You bring extensive experience (10+ years) in external and financial reporting, preferably within a complex, international financial services environment. You bring a solid understanding of governance and control frameworks.
  • Technical expertise: You demonstrate strong expertise in IFRS and financial reporting and are capable of navigating SEC reporting.
  • Leadership skills: You have proven experience in leading a team, navigating a complex and international organisation and influencing senior stakeholders. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and technical levels and can translate complexity into clear direction.
  • Behaviour and competencies: You combine strong analytical skills with an eye for the big picture. You communicate clearly and confidently, operate effectively, and build strong working relationships across ING’s global network. Your behaviour is fully aligned with ING’s values and Orange Code.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, RA, ACCA or equivalent are preferred.
