Job Description

As a Segment Leader, you will drive the global growth of Philips’ IGTS Fixed Systems surgery business within an international, highly collaborative team. The role combines segment strategy, portfolio roadmap ownership, and downstream marketing, with a dual responsibility for operational performance as Segment Business Marketer. You will set the strategic direction, define the product portfolio, and lead key enablers such as product introductions and commercial excellence programs to deliver the segment’s AOP targets.

Your role

  • Define and lead the segment strategy to drive sustainable growth in the Surgery business.
  • Translate business goals into a clear portfolio roadmap, ensuring innovation, value creation, and alignment with annual targets.
  • Lead a team of product managers and drive operational performance in your role as Segment Business Marketer.
  • Set priorities for R&D investments as part of the Portfolio Board, balancing segment needs with broader business priorities.
  • Drive clinical leadership through strong downstream marketing, including KOL engagement, events, and impactful product launches.
  • Lead integrated marketing efforts and orchestrate global and regional execution, ensuring consistent messaging and local relevance.
  • Own and execute the segment marketing plan across regions, including New Product Introductions (NPI) and launch readiness.
  • Monitor segment performance using KPIs, track business cases, and define actions to close performance gaps.
  • Continuously optimize marketing plans based on insights, ensuring the right tools, content, and training are in place.
  • Partner with regional leaders to deliver commercial results, including win rate and pricing targets.
  • Support strategic customer engagements, critical deals, and high-impact activities such as Customer Experience Centers and reference sites.

You're the right fit if you have

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, or similar roles within a complex, global environment.
  • 2+ years of direct management experience and leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
  • Strong experience with Hybrid Surgery or Surgery business.
  • Experience in Image Guided Therapy or the medical systems industry.
  • Strong experience working with customers and key opinion leaders.
  • A data-driven approach with strong execution and follow-through.
  • Experience working across international, multicultural teams and time zones.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.

Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
