Overview

Are you passionate about safety in the energy sector and ready to lead a high‑performing international team? We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader for Process and Technical Safety who will manage and grow our teams across Hamburg, Groningen, Copenhagen and Esbjerg. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of process and technical safety advisory, verification and certification services in the energy transition.

As our Team Leader for Process and Technical Safety, you will bring together three key areas of responsibility: guiding and developing our people, ensuring high‑quality delivery of safety services, and supporting the growth of our business. In this role, you will help shape the future of process and technical safety advisory, verification and certification within the energy transition, while fostering strong collaboration across borders.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of highly competent professionals across our office locations.
  • Drive team growth and capability development in line with existing and future business needs.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture aligned with company values.
  • Support the Head of Section in strategic planning and operational decision-making.
  • Facilitate strong cross-border collaboration, knowledge sharing among teams in Germany, the Netherlands, and Denmark; sustain good relationships via frequent visits.

Service Delivery

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of safety services to clients in the energy industry.
  • Act as Project Sponsor for key projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.

Business Development

  • Support our Service Development Leaders, Key Account Managers and Market Area Managers identifying and developing new business opportunities in the Energy industry especially within process and technical safety.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand needs and position our services effectively.
  • Represent the team internally and externally to promote visibility and impact.

About you

We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to inspire and influence others. This person is culturally aware, comfortable working in an international environment, and approaches tasks proactively. The one is results‑oriented and committed to continuous improvement.

On top of that you need to have:

  • Master's degree level in chemical engineering, process engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience in a technical or safety-related field.
  • Solid experience with legislation and regulatory frameworks related to process and technical safety.
  • Background in the energy industry; e.g. oil and gas, renewables, hydrogen, Power-to-X, or CC(U)S industry.
  • Fluent skills in German and English (a high level in Dutch and/or Danish is an advantage).
  • PM certification (e.g. PMP or Prince2) will be considered a plus, but not a requirement.
