We are looking for a Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator with a strong drive for service excellence, operational accuracy, and supply chain efficiency. This is your opportunity to join pladis / Verkade.

As Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator, you will ensure seamless end-to-end order fulfilment — from order intake through delivery and invoicing. You act as the central link between our customers, 3PL warehouse, transport partners, and internal teams such as MKT, Sales, Finance, and Planning.

You play a key role in optimizing the logistics network, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring best-in-class customer satisfaction. This position uniquely combines operational logistics with customer service, offering strong development opportunities across the supply chain function.

You will report to the Customer Service & Logistics Manager for the region and collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, Demand Planning, Procurement, our factories, and broader European logistics teams.

The position entails

1. Logistics Operations Management

  • Act as daily contact for 3PL and carriers and ensure service level performance
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound flows, slot bookings, and transport exceptions
  • Support operational meetings and international transport flows
  • Validate logistics invoices

2. Inventory & Cost Control

  • Manage inventory processes and support stock accuracy
  • Monitor 3PL cost performance, KPIs, and distribution profiles
  • Identify process and cost improvements
  • Resolve claims quickly and prevent out-of-stocks

3. Co-packing

  • Prepare co-packing planning taking into account the forecasts
  • Monitor execution from co-packer

4. Order & Customer Management

  • Handle accurate order entry, on-time deliveries, and correct invoicing
  • Communicate proactively with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage complaints, claims, export files, and documentation
  • Support customer meetings with operational insights

5. Continuous Improvement & Projects

  • Support logistics and supply chain improvement initiatives
  • Participate in projects related to warehousing, transport, planning, co-packing, and pallet management
  • Contribute to tenders, system upgrades (ERP/EDI), and simplification projects
  • Help standardize processes and improve data/reporting flows

What do you bring?

  • A university degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or similar
  • 0–2 years of experience in Customer Service or Logistics, or strong internship experience
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems (JDE, SAP, or similar)
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn Excel (filters, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Understanding of transport or export documentation is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills (Dutch & English)
  • A proactive, pragmatic, detail-oriented and analytical mindset
  • Service-oriented attitude and a desire to grow within supply chain
