Demand Planning Excellence Lead

Within the Global Supply Chain organization of FrieslandCampina we are looking for an energetic and team-driven Demand Planning Excellence Lead.

With our Global Logistics & Planning Excellence Team, you will help our Customer Supply Chains attain a higher maturity level in Demand Planning. In the process, you will drive performance improvement, set and drive ambitious standards, boost capability and improve operational lives of our Planning Community, and own and drive the realization of significant improvements on forecast accuracy & forecast bias, inventory level and supply chain cost.

What we ask

• At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in Demand Planning, with experience in supply planning and other supply chain functions preferred
• >2 years of line management experience in an operational Supply Chain role is preferred
• Operational excellence experience with proven knowledge and experience in working with one or more methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
• A successful track record delivering results in terms of business or implemented projects
• Knowledge of target setting and follow-up processes; Performance Control Management
• Relevant and demonstrated experience and success in change management and project management, preferably gained in an international business environment
• Knowledge of tools and systems linked to Demand Planning, preferably OMP and SAP S4/Hana
• Knowledge of latest trends and developments in both the Demand Planning and the Change Management field
• Influencing and stakeholder management skills without hierarchical power and in a senior stakeholder environment; proven track record of working in complex global organizations and able to create and maintain relationships and achieve success via collaboration rather than hierarchy
• Languages: English and preferably one other language

Vacancy description

As a Demand Planning Excellence Lead, you will be responsible for driving Demand Planning maturity in our organization.

It is all about designing and further enhancing the right tooling, driving the capabilities of the operational teams across the globe to use them, and supporting performance improvements with the right actionable insights and by the creation and implementation of the right standards.

Our planning processes are going through a big change, with implementation of the Anura Demand (& Supply) Planning program. This new tooling enables a leapfrog in Demand Planning functionality. In this role, you will drive the future-proof design, adoption of data-driven forecasting and relevant additional feature development, both in the Demand Planning tooling and in the surrounding environments (e.g. reporting/SAP S4 Hana), with responsibility to bring the leapfrog impact alive, make it visible and sustain it.

You will actively drive our Customer Supply Chain teams to execute their planning tasks effectively and efficiently. On top, you will drive improvement programs and support and train participants in order to develop the planning capabilities in the organization.

You own and drive standardization, best practice sharing and capability building via the Demand Planning Community of Practice.

An important part of your job will be injecting the right Demand Planning standards into the global OWOW framework in all our entities. This will realize a standardized way of working, with fit-for-purpose performance meetings and will improve the lives of our operational employees across the globe.

You see the challenge in achieving cooperation and motivation between Demand Planning teams and their (main) stakeholders. You will actively build networks within RFC within your own Demand Planning Excellence discipline as well as across disciplines to further develop the impact within RFC. You understand the complexity is the limited level of tangibility of the output. In fact output in terms of effective results are (and should be) realized in the businesses.

Key areas of responsibility are:

1. Lead larger improvement programs to results
2. Own the design and implementation of standard ways of working including performance management
3. Boost Demand Planning capabilities and promote Best Practices and foster cross-fertilization of ideas in expertise networks
4. Lead feature development to fit-for-purpose but state-of-the-art new functionalities in Anura DP/OMP and surrounding environments incl. reporting
5. Lead development and validation of the strategic direction of Demand Planning
6. Contribute with own domain knowledge and understanding of the End-2-End chain in domain-overarching projects

Team Details

You will join the Global Logistics & Planning Excellence team and will report into the Logistics & Planning Excellence Director. A highly skilled and experienced team with program and project managers along the grass-to-glass supply chain, across FrieslandCampina worldwide. Specifically, you will work together intensively with the other Demand Planning Excellence lead, where you jointly lead the work on the Demand Planning tooling & capability development, and with the other domains within Excellence, such as Supply Planning, Customer Care and Logistics.

The Logistics & Planning Excellence team is part of the Global Operational Excellence & Digital Team, next to Manufacturing Excellence, Digital Supply Chain and Program Management.
