Are you looking for a unique opportunity at a sustainability department where you can support us to further expand our programs? Do you see it as a challenge to develop our sustainability policy further? Then working at Cefetra might be a perfect fit for you!
Who we are
The Cefetra Group consists of various agricultural and food ingredients trading and supply chain management companies, with leading brands within the ingredients business. Collectively we employ over 700 people across 35 offices in 20 countries around the world. We work closely together to guarantee the best possible service to our customers. We develop supply chains with suppliers and create value by sourcing raw materials and supplying those to the international food and feed industry.
The job
You will be working closely within the sustainability & EHS teams. Besides regulatory requirements, Cefetra has developed its own EHS policy. Part of your job will be to ensure the EHS-related documents will be kept up to date, considering external as well as internal requirements. This includes maintaining the RI&E, implementing measures from the Action Plan, and carrying out risk assessments. Besides that, planning meetings to keep everyone informed, attending meetings to discuss progress at our office building, and ensuring our risk assessments remain up to date.
The other part of the job will be more sustainability related. Together with the team you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the sustainability projects within Cefetra B.V. and Tracomex Group B.V. This will include overseeing and implementing governmental regulation (e.g. EUDR) within the organisation, as well as checking and discussing compliance with our supplier and customers and ensuring compliance with the different sustainability standards according to which the entities are certified (e.g. ISCC, RSPO, etc.). Potentially this will mean you will be involved in writing and updating the required procedures and ensuring these are followed suit internally as well as externally. You have an eye for detail, being precise when needed, for example when ensuring the alignment with these new standards and when performing administrative tasks. You can recognize opportunities early on and are open for discussions with stakeholders to convince them to make changes in how we tend to operate. You are eager to learn, being able to quickly comprehend difficult regulatory texts and methodologies, like PEFCR feed GHG protocol, and being able to translate these into tangible actions and convince others to implement these in our supply chains.
Who are you
Most important is that you can be critical and precise, but also pragmatic when needed. To be successful within Cefetra, it is important to have a ‘self-starter’ mentality, be open minded and curious. In addition, you can identify with the following requirements:
