This is your daily action

In this high-impact role, you own the Format Development Roadmap - managing a structured, prioritized portfolio of initiatives that shape how Action stores look, function, and feel.

You orchestrate the alignment between customer experience, operational excellence, and business scalability. From guiding pilots for new store experiences to embedding format decisions in our expansion plans, you ensure that every initiative contributes to one unified store concept.

You work closely with a wide range of teams - Commerce, Marketing, Real Estate, IT, Store Operations, and HR - to create one integrated approach to store development. You’ll manage dependencies, facilitate governance, track progress, and turn complex topics into compelling stories that inspire action across the organization.

You will support our Manager Format and Merchandise in steering this growing responsibility by coordinating ongoing initiatives, guiding pilots, driving strategic rollouts and long-term innovation, translating complexity into clarity and ensuring that all domain owners stay aligned on cross-functional priorities and helping shape a future where Format acts as the umbrella function tying everything together.

You are a connector and a strategist. You understand the power of alignment and can drive it across silos. With a strong operational mindset and structured way of working, you create clarity and impact - even in complex environments. You are persuasive, visionary, and focused on impact.

In addition:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Strategy, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in retail - ideally in format, portfolio, or program management within a fast-growing or international environment
• A strong track record of managing cross-functional portfolios and strategic initiatives
• Experience in store operations, concept development, customer/employee journeys, or retail transformation
• Fluent English (Dutch is a strong advantage)
• A data-informed mindset and structured planning ability
• The confidence to operate at both strategic and operational levels
• Curiosity and openness to learn from other retailers - possibly through travel
