You are accountable for building a high-performing team, shaping demand, and delivering measurable innovation impact in an AI-enabled context.

This role requires comfort with frequent context switching between enterprise-level strategy and hands-on program execution. It therefore requires a thought leader who also has a hands-on leadership style. You spend approximately 40 percent of your time leading complex programs yourself. The remainder of your time is focused on visioning, people leadership, stakeholder management, and running a reliable consulting operation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Transformation

  • Set and maintain a focused portfolio of Innovation Consulting capability offerings aligned with BU priorities and AI-enabled innovation.
  • Orchestrate the team’s AI transformation in delivery and internal ways of working.
  • Act as connector between Innovation Engineering (IEN), Innovation & Design (I&D), and Business Units.

Thought Leadership

  • Position the department as a recognized expert group within Philips in Innovation Management by driving knowledge-sharing activities, such as roundtables and the publication of internal best practices.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and ambassador for Innovation Excellence within Philips' global R&D, Marketing, and related communities.
  • Strategic management of team capabilities like Innovation Portfolio Management, Value Maximization, Business Case creation, and Value Proposition Creation.

People & Talent

  • Empower, mentor, and inspire a diverse team ranging from Business Analysts to seasoned Senior Consultants, fostering a culture of psychological safety, continuous learning, and professional excellence.
  • Build a sustainable talent and succession pipeline.
  • Drive knowledge sharing and internal thought leadership.

Business Development & Delivery

  • Shape and convert BU demand into consulting engagements.
  • Personally lead complex, high-impact programs for 40 percent of your time.
  • Maintain executive-level relationships and customer satisfaction.

Operations & Excellence

  • Manage team and own utilization, cost management, and AOP forecasting.
  • Manage a flexible resourcing layer that includes maximum of 20% contingent workforce.
  • Drive capability planning and continuous improvement in line with QMS.

What Success Looks Like After 12 to 18 Months

  • A proven track record of documented high-impact success stories that showcase the team's value.
  • Utilization at or above target with sustainable team engagement.
  • Clear, repeatable consulting propositions with AI embedded in delivery.
  • Strong pull from Business Units for strategic initiatives.
  • Visible pipeline of senior talent and future leaders in the team.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Innovation Management, or related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimal 15 years of experience in innovation, consulting, or transformation roles in large matrix organizations, preferably in HealthTech and/or Healthcare.
  • Proven people leadership in a team of professional specialists, including performance management, capability development, and succession planning, in a delivery-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, with the ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders (VP-level and above) from day one.
  • Strong consulting background, internal or external.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI to accelerate consulting workflows and enhance the quality of customer deliverables.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management and consultative selling skills.
  • Solid understanding and track record in customer centric innovation in a regulated industry.
  • Domain expertise in one or more innovation domain across marketing, product management, research, design, development and engineering.
