Many innovation efforts fail not because of a lack of technology, but because teams keep approaching problems from the same assumptions, cultural frames, and mental models.

At Hypersolid, we deliberately bring new perspectives into our innovation work. That’s why we’re looking for someone who doesn’t neatly fit a typical tech or innovation role, someone who can introduce ways of thinking we don’t yet have.

About the role: Innovation Explorer

What you’ll do

You’ll step in early, often before solutions exist, to help shape the problem space and open up new directions. In practice, that means you’ll:

  • Question assumptions about users, technology, culture, business, and society
  • Introduce fresh perspectives in the earliest stages of innovation work
  • Work closely with technologists and designers to translate insights into directions, concepts, and experiments
  • Contribute to projects as a co-creator, not only as a thinker
  • Help clients reframe problems and uncover opportunities they hadn’t considered

How you see the world

You think in terms of behavior, meaning, culture, and context, and you notice patterns others tend to miss. You’re comfortable asking questions that may feel uncomfortable but are necessary. Technology interests you as a societal and cultural force, not just a tool.

What you bring

  • A background in sociology, psychology, philosophy, anthropology, media studies, or a related field
  • A strong affinity with technology and digital innovation
  • Interest in how technology influences human behavior, power structures, and society
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

One more thing

You don’t need to be a hardcore developer, and you don’t need to fit an existing profile. What matters is that you add something that isn’t here yet.
