This role supports the development of the Partner Program (marketplace business model), a sales channel for adidas’ Digital Sales business in Europe. The Senior Manager Partner Program Trading will be instrumental in leading and driving the growth of live partner businesses within Gated Outlet accounts and other selected marketplaces. This role requires demonstrated expertise in account management in the sporting goods industry, knowledge of eCommerce, and a solid merchandising and commercial foundation.
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is to support the development of the Partner Program (marketplace business model), a sales channel for our Digital Sales business in Europe. The Senior Manager Partner Program Trading will be instrumental in leading and driving the growth of our live partner businesses within Gated Outlet accounts and other selected marketplaces. This role requires demonstrated expertise in account management in the sporting goods industry, knowledge of eCommerce and a solid merchandising and commercial foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive the digital development of the defined Partner Program account’s web shops across Europe, seeking to optimize our brand representation, consumer experience & ultimately growing net sales & market share.
- Executing on the trading and service framework across respective Outlet & Marketplace account(s), establishing detailed Platform Trading processes for existing and future partners.
- Working closely with the Director Platform Trading to define Gated Outlet proposition in Europe including ranging strategy, consumer experience enablers, forecasting, reporting and active in-season management.
- Responsible for knowing the consumer, category, channel, competitor, and macro-economic country situation for partner program key account categories. This includes the European retail and eCom environment in distribution, share of buy, competitor ranges and pricing.
- Support the integration of new strategic account in close collaboration with the Business development team.
- Support the development of category plans in close collaboration with Director Platform Trading, Factory Outlet, Assortment Planning and European BU teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups with excellent storytelling abilities.
- Highly motivated and flexible, with the ability to work in deadline driven environment.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to handle multiple tasks and business partners.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in spreadsheet analyses. Self-motivated and passionate about deriving business insight from data, improving business processes, and solving problems. Excellent PowerPoint skills coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Able to participate and confidently provide quantitative and qualitative input in investment review. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present and map complex business solutions and processes (interest in technical and business eCommerce projects a must). Comfortable working in an international environment.
- Fluency in English is required.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- BA / BS in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years professional experience (demonstrated experience in merchandising eCom & retail) alongside account management, business development or finance.
- Progressive leadership experience in the sporting goods industry.
