What You Will Do:

Leverage data & analytics to support account decision making and identify areas of opportunity or concern. Collaborate with both internal and external cross-functional teams for continued success for CPD brand and categories at Kroger.

Core Responsibilities

  • Understand how to utilize available data, platforms, and reporting dashboards. (For example: Nielsen, PowerBi, and Kroger’s data suite 84.51/Stratum)
  • Understand account strategy, brand visions, and category priorities to inform broader analyses to unlock customer success.
  • Analyze and interpret data to present strategic recommendations around macro trends, beauty industry insights, consumer behavior, product sales performance, promotional effectiveness, planogram productivity, in-store event ROIs, online vs. offline performance, new item projections etc. to inform sales strategies.
  • Support customer conversation with data-driven insights. (For example: CPD Innovation Planning, Account Review, Quarterly JBP Meetings)
  • Demonstrate high-impact presentation skills by weaving authentic storytelling into business cases, effectively aligning stakeholders with a clear vision
  • Strong skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Drive collaborative forecasting efforts with Account Managers to anticipate category and brand growth; leverage insights to identify potential risks and opportunities, delivering high-impact recommendations for long-term projections
  • Lead monthly data-driven share outs and customer deep dives to key stakeholders to influence strategy. (For example: BAL, Supply Chain, Category Development, Merchandising, E-Commerce).

Receives Input From

  • Account management – key customer focus areas / concerns to ensure sales analytics team has appropriate customer context
  • Central data – supports data and dashboard requests to enable prioritized account analyses
  • Retailer – guiding principles and guardrails for data analytics, category recommendations, and strategy

Provides Input to

  • Account management – account analytics share key insights and opportunities to support broader decision-making
  • Account Merchandising – partners closely with account merchandising teams to provide insight into planogram decisions (expansion/exit, tray analysis, etc.)
  • Central data – account analytics partners closely with central data to identify key KPIs to track and requirements for reporting dashboards
  • Retailer – account analytics provides on-going analytical support, key insights, and trend monitoring to influence short-term and long-term strategies

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a customer-facing role
  • Self-starter with strong analytic and leadership skills, data accuracy and curiosity, and ability to create stories from data to influence internal/external stakeholders
  • Proven knowledge of customer and retail strategies, as well as competitors
  • Knowledge and curiosity to learn beauty and personal care, specifically for given category
