As Category Marketing Manager Encaps Industry within BG Professional – Marketing & Innovation, you are accountable for the end-to-end performance of our Encaps portfolio in OpCo Industry & Trading. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on project leadership, steering innovation, renovation and simplification initiatives that deliver margin accretion while reducing complexity. With 88 kilotons in volume, €54 million SGP and production in Meppel and Lippstadt, this is a role with visible impact across the value chain.

Wat we vragen

  • Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in B2B marketing, product management or category management
  • Proven track record in NPD, renovation, portfolio management and strategic planning within a complex matrix organization
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading projects cross-functional teams (R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, QA/RA)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into value propositions and solid business cases
  • Experience in driving simplification, SKU reduction and cost optimization without compromising customer experience or quality

  • Salary between €5,250 and €7,100 per month, depending on knowledge and experience (full-time)
  • Full-time workweek of 38 hours, 5% year-end bonus, 12,5% bonus, and a pension
  • Flexible working hours, hybrid working, plus either a train pass or a travel allowance of €0.23 per km (up to 30 km one way)
  • 200 hours of annual leave, the option to buy or sell 40 extra hours, and 8% holiday allowance

As Category Marketing Manager Encaps Industry, you drive the full E2E category performance of Encaps within OpCo Industry & Trading. You are responsible for maximizing profit while reducing complexity across the portfolio. You build and own the 12-quarter plan, covering innovation (NPD), productivity and value creation initiatives (P+), ensuring a balanced pipeline that supports both short- and long-term growth.
You analyze overall category performance and translate quantitative and qualitative data into clear strategic priorities. In close collaboration with Commercial, Channel Marketing and customer-centric teams, you conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and margin improvement potential. You develop clear value propositions and compelling business cases aligned with customer needs and internal capabilities.You lead key cross-functional projects, working with R&D, Supply Chain Make & Planning, Commercialization and QA/RA to deliver innovation, renovation and design-to-value initiatives on time and in full. From product and packaging brief to launch planning and customer funnel management, you ensure seamless execution together with Sales and Key Account teams.

Portfolio simplification is a key pillar of your mandate. You identify opportunities for SKU reduction and efficiency improvements, balancing customer value with operational complexity. You actively drive cost reduction initiatives while safeguarding product quality and customer satisfaction.

You represent Encaps externally by visiting key accounts, supporting customer-centric teams and participating in industry fairs and distributor days. Internally, you are a sparring partner for the FCP OpCo I&T Commercial Director and a connecting force across disciplines. Your impact is tangible: stronger margins, clearer portfolio focus and a competitive category positioned for sustainable growth.

This team operates at the heart of our B2B business, connecting market insights, commercial execution and supply chain capabilities. You collaborate closely with Sales, Channel Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain Make and Planning, Commercialization and QA/RA. Factories in Meppel and Lippstadt are key production hubs for the Encaps portfolio, making operational alignment essential.

The environment is international, matrix-based and performance-driven. Decisions are data-informed, but success depends on collaboration and ownership. You will not have direct reports, yet you lead through influence across multiple functions and regions. Your ability to connect strategy with execution, and to align stakeholders around clear priorities, will define your success.
