Arriva is one of the largest providers of passenger transport in Europe, employing more than 60,000 people and delivering more than 2.2 billion passenger journeys across 14 European countries each year.
We operate a wide range of services including local buses, inter-urban commuter coaches, local, regional and national train services, trams and light rail, waterbuses, demand response, and non-emergency patient transport.
Arriva is part of Deutsche Bahn (DB) and is responsible for DB's regional passenger transport services outside Germany.
While all our graduates can expect a warm welcome when they arrive, we don't wrap them in cotton wool - we want to involve them from the very beginning. Our graduates can expect to be given significant responsibility early on in their careers and will find themselves doing placements in a number of different areas of the business to obtain a broad perspective of Arriva and build their network.
During the Programme, our graduates will attend international graduate events and training modules, work on assignments with fellow graduates, and have the opportunity to meet Arriva’s senior managers. They will receive coaching, career support and have a personal mentor who will track their development. They will also become part of the GraduateClub, which is an international network of Arriva Graduates.
If you are an ambitious person and a good performer, your growth opportunities are limitless at Arriva. This is your journey. How far you go is up to you!
Arriva is as good as the people who work here. We are proud of our committed team and together we are always focused on the future. If you have the right skills, passion and commitment, you are welcome. So why not join us?
We already employ around 60,000 people in 14 countries and it is not all about buses and trains. We also provide commuter coach, water bus and airport transport services with bus and coach distribution and non-emergency patient transport.
The people who work for us
We encourage flexibility and a willingness to learn. We also embrace the curious – and those who would challenge the status quo. The right attitude and fit with our people and customers is what is important - we provide training for the rest. We recruit from all sectors and industries to harness the widest possible range of skills, knowledge and talent to create a harmonious balance.
How we support our staff
Our development programmes include both work-based and off-site training to ensure that the skills our people acquire can be put into practice straightaway. Each programme is designed to help employees continue on their career journey, covering every aspect of the organisation – from training the next drivers through to creating a new generation of business leaders.
How we recognise our staff
At Arriva, we celebrate our success through local reward and recognition programmes. As part of Deutsche Bahn, we also participate in the annual DB Awards which recognise the work of 300,000 employees across 130 countries.
Take a look at our new day in the life video. The footage was shot on one day, giving a range of insights into Arriva's people and operations.
