The role requires close collaboration with other departments across Client Units, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Compliance, especially where expert input is required.

Your job

As a Regulatory Change Advisor in the Regulatory Change Management team, your role is structured around four key priorities:

1. End‑to‑End Regulatory Change Management Ownership

  • Act as the owner of the bank‑wide Regulatory Change Management process.

  • Translate regulation into actionable requirements.

3. Standardization & Continuous Improvement

  • Enhance the bank‑wide RCM process.

  • Provide insights to senior management.
  • Escalate regulatory readiness risks.

Working environment

The Regulatory Risk & Transformation (RR&T) department is a new function established to execute the mandate of the Regulatory Committee, divided into the following four teams/topics:

  • Regulatory Supervisory Relations
  • Regulatory Change Management
  • Regulatory Findings Management
  • Regulatory Risk Oversight

The RCM team is directly contributing to the department’s mission to strengthen the bank’s regulatory compliance framework and foster a proactive approach to managing regulatory risks. The teams will need to collaborate closely on many topics and may need to form ad-hoc task forces to deal with certain priority issues.

Your profile

You are a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with a background in non-financial risk management. You thrive in environments that require strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration. You are able to drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and manage complex stakeholder dynamics. Furthermore:

  • Proven experience of minimum 7 years in (non-financial) risk management, regulatory risk, or strategic projects within financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis, impact assessments, and propose actionable solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to liaise with ELT members and other senior stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance standards, and emerging trends in financial services.
  • Strategic report-writing and presentation skills tailored to executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage and standardise processes, documents, and tooling efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Dutch language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.

Note that in case you do not yet meet the requirements for a Hay 11 level but are a fit with the team, you may be offered the role at a lower Hay scale with an appropriate task allocation when joining the team.

  • Debate, debate, decide - I gain different perspectives on impact throughout the value chain. I then take the decision, accept the decision and respect single accountability & responsibility
  • Keep it simple - I start with the goal, I set well-defined requirements, I proactively address dependencies, I seek feasibility in plans and I don’t overpromise
  • Embrace Good - I don't go for perfect and I do what is right and compliant
  • From being nice to being kind - I ask and act on feedback, I am open about the good, the bad and the ugly. I reflect, I adapt and I move forward
  • No excuses, stay the course - I take the lead, I own it. I act quickly, I standardize progress updates to ensure timely support and I escalate
