As Data Management Consultant, you help turn our data-management standards into practical improvements. Your main focus is supporting Data Quality, Data Ownership and Platform Compliance. This is a practical implementation role, not a policy-writing or engineering role.

Our organisation is implementing federated data governance across business domains and data platforms. As a Data Management Specialist within the Data CoE, you help translate data-management standards into practical improvements. Your focus is on Data Quality, data ownership and platform compliance. This is a hands-on implementation role where you work closely with business and technical stakeholders to make governance work in practice.

You support Data Owners and Data Stewards in carrying out their responsibilities. You help identify critical data elements and Data Quality issues, define measurable Data Quality rules and support the use of Collibra Data Quality. You track issues, actions and deadlines, facilitate workshops and support compliance assessments on Databricks. You also help strengthen the connection between business metadata in Ontos and technical metadata in Unity Catalog, while working with platform teams to identify and close governance gaps. Within your first six months, you will help implement Data Quality improvements, support onboarding of data products and contribute to compliance assessments and improvement initiatives.

You work closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, platform teams and business stakeholders from different domains. Together, you create practical solutions that improve Data Quality, ownership and compliance while supporting innovation on our data platforms.

You are pragmatic, structured and action-oriented. You enjoy working with both business and technical stakeholders and know how to turn discussions into clear actions. Your communication skills help you facilitate workshops, create ownership and drive improvements that deliver measurable results. You also have the following qualities:

• 3-6 years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality or a related field.
• You have experience implementing data-management processes in practice.
• You have knowledge of Data Quality concepts and controls.
• You have experience working with business and technical stakeholders.
• You have strong English communication skills. Dutch is an advantage.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Collibra Data Quality.
• Experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog.
• Experience with Ontos, data products or SQL.
