Accounting Manager – Omnicom – Amsterdam

As Accounting Manager – Omnicom, you work closely with the Head of Group Accounting and play a key role within the accounting and control framework. You are responsible for day-to-day general ledger activities, accurate financial processing, and timely reporting across multiple entities. At the same time, you contribute to improving processes and further professionalizing the finance function within a rapidly evolving, international organization.

In this role, you operate at the intersection of accounting, reporting, and business support, with the opportunity to make processes more efficient, structured, and future-proof.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and develop a team of four finance professionals with general ledger activities and accurate financial processing.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain GL accounts.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes across multiple entities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare management reports and perform ad hoc financial analyses.
• Monitor open positions, non-billed items, and receivables.
• Strengthen internal controls and contribute to compliance processes.
• Prepare audit documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to process and system optimization.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, controlling, or a relevant finance role.
• Experience in an international, multi-entity environment.
• Experience with Excel and ERP.
• Analytical, accurate, and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication skills in an international setting.
