Job Description

Coach Industrial Engineering, Lean and Circular Economy Manufacturing

What you’ll do

Canon Production Printing is transitioning from traditional linear manufacturing to a fully circular way of working, where reverse logistics, reuse of materials, and high‑quality remanufacturing become the foundation for future products. In this role, you guide this transformation by coaching a multidisciplinary team of 10–15 people from supply chain, industrial engineering, and production, while also managing complex programs that turn circularity ideas into real business opportunities.

You collaborate closely with departments across Manufacturing, Logistics, R&D, Service, and global Canon organizations to ensure new circular business models can be implemented effectively. A key part of the job is building strong relationships with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) teams and influencing Marketing, Strategy, Service, and R&D to adopt circular principles such as Design for Assembly and Design for Disassembly.

You continuously analyze data, workflows, KPIs, and performance to identify improvements and drive operational excellence. As both a coach and project manager, you focus on developing a high‑performing team and ensuring successful execution of circularity initiatives. The position reports to the Manager Manufacturing Machines.

What you bring

  • You have a university Master’s degree in a technical discipline, industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, business innovation or economics, preferably sustainability oriented.
  • 5 to 10 years of work experience…

  • You are able to apply LEAN and 5S as well as best practices into the operation in cooperation of Manufacturing excellence and other sites.
  • Proven project skills in multidisciplinary environments in Supply Chain and/or Industrial Engineering areas.
  • Experience in circular economy or proven project experience is of advantage.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Profound knowledge of Dutch is required and is an advantage.

What you’ll get from us

We offer you a challenging and international oriented job where you collaborate with interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams throughout the value chain and the organization, and deliver direct impact on the way we remanufacture, refurbish, assemble and manufacture our products. We challenge you to develop and enhance a performance driven mindset for a best in class Circular Economy Manufacturing organization.

Besides a challenging working environment and scope for personal and professional development, you will receive an interesting package of employment conditions:
