Road Manager

As a Road Manager you ensure the renewal, optimisation and continuous improvement of the critical Investments value chain by facilitating complex IT programmes and enhancing end-to-end collaboration both within and beyond our Tech Domain.

You & your role

The Road Manager independently and proactively delivers highly complex IT initiatives. As part of the Tech Domain Investments Management Team, you also contribute to organisational topics such as communication, vendor management and strategic alignment, significantly improving Rabobank’s internal service quality.

Practical examples

• Manage Decom and AVA (Automated Validation Activities) of OBB, BizTalk, DWH within Area Data, Insights & Reporting and lead the migration from Siebel to the new CRM system, impacting multiple areas.
• Develop and steer roadmaps for complex IT programmes, coordinating dependencies across Tribes and aligning business, architecture and IT.
• Monitor and facilitate DECOM projects, identify innovation opportunities (including AI Guild) and implement complex initiatives under pressure.
• Assess and guide new proposals via Voice of Consumer for inclusion on the CITO/RNT Tech priority list.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Take ownership of Decom and AVA activities for critical systems and ensure smooth execution of migrations and validations.
• Map dependencies within large, complex programmes and present them clearly.
• Coordinate and monitor squad activities around Future Proof Technology, identify impediments, and act to resolve them.
• Report programme status and risks to the Tech Domain Manager and perform proactive, complex analyses for fast, well‑founded decisions.
• Act as a lead within Tech Domain Investments, advising management, sparring on technical and organisational topics, and representing Tribe Investments in Voice of Consumer initiatives.

You & your talent

• Academic-level education (HBO or WO)
• At least 10 years of experience within Rabobank or in complex IT environments, with broad organisational knowledge
• Broad experience across IT domains and technologies
• Strong organisational skills and awareness, including political sensitivity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience in stakeholder management and vendor management
• Agile leadership: you understand agility from a management perspective
• Knowledge of Investments infrastructure and related applications is an advantage
