Job Description

This role is for a System Support Engineer (m/f/d) within the ICS Infrastructure department at Canon Production Printing. The department is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation and management of all IT infrastructure solutions. Solution areas include Workplace systems, Datacenter, Networking, Server hosting, Storage and Azure Cloud services.

Your role as system support engineer

In this role you will be part of a team of 30 Infrastructure specialists based in Venlo, The Netherlands and Poing, Germany. You will have the opportunity to gain in-depth experience in the solution areas Workplace systems and Windows Server systems in a highly professional IT environment. You do so by participating in projects and maintenance and support activities.

Your challenge as a system support engineer

Your main tasks will be:

  • Maintenance and support activities for Windows Server systems and underlying technology like Active Directory, Intune and endpoint security.
  • Ensuring availability and performance of infrastructure solutions according to agreed service levels and agreed price points.
  • Project participation, including solution-oriented innovation projects in Windows workplace and server projects, as well as acting as infrastructure lead in business and application projects.
  • Project and design scope includes CPP sites in Romania, Singapore and Australia.

Who are we looking for

  • Bachelor level of thinking, capable to grow to more senior positions in Infrastructure.
  • Good understanding of and strong interest in Microsoft solutions both for Workplace and Server systems. Proven experience is a plus.
  • Capable of focusing on efficient and effective operational excellence delivery within defined policies.
  • Team-player. Capable of engaging with internal and external partners and customers.
  • Good communication skills in English language. German language skills are a plus.
