FP&A CoE Senior Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager with a passion for continuous improvement and process excellence to join our newly created FP&A Center of Excellence (CoE), focusing on data, reporting and analytics. You will modernize our financial performance management and analytics by moving core reporting and insight delivery from Excel/PowerPoint to automated, insight‑rich dashboards on our enterprise BI platform, unlocking future GenAI capabilities for narrative insights and variance analysis. You will combine deep FP&A acumen with data fluency and a builder mindset to architect the future of financial insights at Equinix.

About the FP&A CoE Team

The FP&A CoE is a new global team centralizing core planning, reporting, analytics, and data governance activities to reduce duplication, build scalability and accelerate digital transformation. The team standardizes processes and templates, improves data quality, and partners with Digital/IT (DIO) and HR to enable predictive, automated, and insight-rich FP&A.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Performance Reporting Transformation: Lead the migration of core FP&A reporting (P&L through AFFO, CapEx, and key financial KPIs) from Excel/PowerPoint to standardized BI dashboards; define the review model and drill paths from enterprise to function, product, region and country; cover monthly/quarterly actuals vs Budget/MPQ/prior period/prior year, quarterly forecast updates vs prior/Budget/PY, Budget and LTM reviews, and executive/ad‑hoc analyses
  • Requirements & Dashboard Design: Create a clear, prioritized backlog of data, reporting and analytics requirements; translate into dashboard specifications (views, filters, drill‑downs, KPI logic, visualization standards, acceptance criteria) that reflect how end-users consume insights
  • Data Governance & Financial Metric Ownership: With our enterprise data & analytics team (EDNA), own the Finance metric catalog, definitions, lineage and quality controls; steward metadata and master data; act as the go‑to Finance partner for EDNA to align financial metrics used across Executive, GTM, Operational and Functional dashboards; run QA and release processes to protect accuracy and trust
  • Analytics, Automation & GenAI: Leverage our enterprise BI tools and GenAI to introduce automated variance commentary; together with the EDNA team build diagnostic and self‑service analytics that accelerate decision‑making and reduce manual effort
  • Enablement & Operating Model: Drive adoption through training and enablement for FP&A and business stakeholders; build operating mechanisms to ensure adaptability to changing requirements and monitor and remediate data quality
  • Stakeholder Partnership & Communication: Partner with Corporate and Functional FP&A, business stakeholders and EDNA; present roadmap, adoption and value delivery to senior leadership

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven years in FP&A, financial reporting, financial data analytics; proven record modernizing reporting or implementing BI at scale in a global, matrixed environment
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Finance, Analytics, Information Systems or related field preferred
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with enterprise BI tools (e.g. Google Looker/Power BI/Tableau); understanding of data modeling, metadata, hierarchies and large‑scale dataset
  • Business & communication: Strong business acumen, ability to simplify complexity, craft clear data stories and influence senior stakeholders; excellent written and verbal communication
  • Mindset: Builder mentality, curiosity and user‑centric design; outcomes‑oriented, comfortable with ambiguity and pace of change
