POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mechatronic Technician 3, under the guidance of AMRE Leadership, is integral to the maintenance of our technical equipment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation and reliability of Cencora’s assets. Responsibilities are diverse and include, but are not limited to, advanced mechanical and electrical/controls knowledge, demonstrating technical aptitude, utilizing strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation and setup of mechatronic systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, procedures independently
  • Participate in training programs to develop advanced mechanical, electrical and control’s technical knowledge for self and team members
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities according to work instructions
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems
  • Oversee and troubleshoot mechanical issues and their relation to software and PLC related issues
  • Troubleshooting and repair electrical equipment and controls systems with minimal assistance
  • Repair and rebuilding of equipment
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, parts usage, and inventory levels within EAMS (Enterprise Asset Management System) to comply with regulatory requirements and ensure the optimization of maintenance inventory
  • Follow the performance of the production site on a mechanical and software levels and be proactive in preventing minor and mayor issues
  • Train and instruct less experienced personnel on mechanical systems, electrical and controls, safe work practices, proper repair procedures and equipment operation
  • Supports and complies with all appropriate policies, procedures to promote a safe, accident-free and healthy work environment

The Mechatronic Technician 3 must be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in exceeding expectations while leveraging their expertise to make significant contributions to the operational excellence of the assigned facility.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This role is a mid to advanced level position requiring 5-8 years of related experience with progressive responsibilities or a combination of education and experience
  • Completion of an associate degree program, trade program, or equivalent combination of experience and education is preferred, but not required
  • Advanced experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
  • Moderate experience in electrical and controls systems
  • Moderate experience in software and PLC related systems related to the mechanical steering of the machine
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair effectively

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrates basic knowledge and understanding while performing repair tasks in projects related to warehouse operations, warehouse design, warehouse and business systems, process improvement and standardization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Proficiency in EAMS systems and technical documentation practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate (and work) effectively with people from different technical and business backgrounds, acting as a liaison, understanding, and appreciating different perspectives and translating into terms necessary for any group or individual to understand
  • Strong in communication with collegues, both on site and off site, but also with collegues from the production team working on the site
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Shows tactful discretion with difficult/sensitive information
  • Ability to understand and discuss information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes basic understanding for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to identify an appropriate level of detail and effort commensurate with assigned tasks
  • Proficiency with basic software such as Microsoft office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of architectural, mechanical / electrical / plumbing (MEP), construction or industrial engineering principals including industry regulations (e.g. ISO, CE, UL, OSHA, ANSI)
  • Capable of simultaneously balancing and accomplishing a variety of tasks
  • Existing previous experience to a Pack to Patient system, would be extremely preferable

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Cencora offers a friendly and exciting work environment. The Cencora site in Veghel contain high level sophistical automization of fulfillment of pharmaceutical care. The site runs one of the largest pharmaceutical warehouses and patient direct fulfilment facility in the country. The automization set up is challenging and innovative.

Cencora has particular focus on a healthy work environment and being a great place to work. You will be part of a larger team of engineers, but will be fully trained to run the Central Fulfilment Pharmacy Department individually. The department is responsible for direct to patient deliveries of pharmaceutical goods, in which on time and in full delivery is essential. In order to fulfill customer demands, optimum performance of the automation in the form of Pack to Patient lines is essential to meet these customer demands. Your main focus would be to ensure the optimum performance of these Pack to Patient automated lines. You will also be working closely with the production team/employees, running the production in this department.

The Cencora Veghel warehouse offers multiple sorts of highly automated set-ups, in different production departments. Making it an interesting and innovative workplace, with a lot of opportunities to grow and extend your mechanical and technical skillset, in case of ambition there is more automation to be trained on.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  3. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  6. Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, pickers, etc; ability to work in elevated environments; ability to climb a ladder.
