Join Nutreco as a Business Application Specialist LIMS (Masterlab)

Why join us

Own your path at Nutreco, where you will shape the next chapter of our digital laboratory transformation as a local LIMS champion in our Masterlab in Boxmeer. Last year, we rolled out LabVantage LIMS across all Masterlab locations, and now we’re ready for what comes next: making the system smarter, more efficient and fully harmonized across our global lab network.

You’ll play a key role in this evolution by turning local user needs into practical digital solutions, supporting day‑to‑day operations, and guiding colleagues through important improvements such as aligned configurations, better master data, and instrument connectivity. Working closely with the IT project leaders and laboratories across the world, you’ll help build a unified, future‑proof LIMS experience that empowers our entire lab community. Own your expertise. Own your ideas. Own your impact.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the key link between Masterlab, global laboratories and the IT Competence Center (NCC) to align standards.
  • Contribute to the global LIMS alignment project by helping harmonize configurations, master data and ways of working across all labs.
  • Support day‑to‑day LIMS operations: troubleshoot issues, resolve challenges with colleagues, and maintain a stable, reliable system.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to key users so they can work confidently and consistently with LIMS and related applications.
  • Support future integrations and instrument connectivity, including preparing for connections such as Chromeleon → LIMS.

Who we’re looking for

  • You’re a practical problem‑solver who enjoys partnering with lab professionals and making systems work brilliantly for them. You communicate clearly, build trust across teams, and take ownership from issue to outcome. You’ll bring:
  • Higher laboratory education in (analytical) chemistry, computer science, or a related field.
  • Extensive laboratory experience with LIMS (LabVantage preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills English. Dutch language skills are an asset.
  • A proactive, collaborative, self‑driven way of working.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 10%).

Not ticking every box? We hire for potential and mindset. If this mission excites you, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll receive

  • A competitive package with 30 vacation days and a solid pension scheme.
  • Flexible work environment (hybrid).
  • Opportunity to travel globally ~10% of the time.
  • Access to learning (incl. internal training and e‑learning), peer communities, and opportunities across Nutreco and SHV.
  • An inclusive culture where you’ll be encouraged to Own it: your ideas, your development, and your impact.

Since our global project team is primarily based in Central Europe and Latin America, a small amount of flexibility in working hours helps us stay connected and collaborate across time zones.
