Your next ride starts here
Our team is looking for a motivated intern to help us with our sustainability ambitions. As our intern you will be part of the Sustainability team, and reporting to the sustainability project manager. We lead sustainability initiatives, and work across the entire organisation. We aim to share the right data, tools & insight to let other teams make the most sustainable decisions. At Swapfiets, interns get plenty of room to grow, fail, learn and succeed by actively contributing to a team of passionate people.
How you pedal us forward:
As a sustainability intern, you will have the opportunity to be involved in an assignment from start to finish. We have a number of different topics that you could work on, related to one of our sustainability goals: a 100% circular product, emissions reduction company, and adopting a sustainable mindset in everything we do. The specific project that you will focus on is flexible, but whichever this is, you will be responsible for:
Building and owning the project plan
Involving different departments in the project definition, planning, execution, completion and communication
Gathering and analysing relevant data
Choosing the format for delivery and ensuring successful roll out.
On the side of this project, you will be supporting the sustainability team with their ongoing work, which could include tasks such as:
Data analysis (e.g. climate impact, circularity, diversity, equity & inclusion)
Researching relevant topics, trends and policies
Content creation and working to increase engagement internally and externally
The gear you need:
Be available for an internship from February/March onwards (6 months)
Be available for 40 hours a week
You live in (or near) Amsterdam
Passionate about sustainability/circular economy
Enrolled in or recently graduated from a University/HBO programme focused on a relevant field of study, e.g. sustainable development, circular economy, environmental studies, etc
Benefits for a smooth ride:
An internship compensation of 500 euros per month;
A challenging internship with projects & deliverables of your own;
Working in a young and fast-growing company;
An intern group with monthly meetings to learn new skills and have fun with our interns;
Your own Swapfiets of course 🚲
