About the role

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact in a leading global organization? Reckitt is looking for a Buyer for upstream and sustainability management of Paper & Pulp based Packaging materials, reporting to the Procurement Manager. Based in Amsterdam, this role will be responsible for the procurement of commodities like Solid Box Board, Corrugated Paper, Viscose & other paper and pulp-based products, and will drive sustainability initiatives in this category. Your responsibilities

In summary, you'll:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for commodities under scope
  • Monitor market conditions, offering procurement insights based on commodity trends and prices
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and reports incorporating market insights and trends
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of agreement with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms
  • Engage in supplier selection, focusing on optimal service, cost, and quality
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between internal & external stakeholders to drive various upstream paper projects
  • Ensure that all procurement activities comply with the procurement Operating Model and SOP

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in business, science/engineering, supply chain or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Procurement
  • Good English communication skills oral and written, second language is a plus
  • Excellence in negotiation, coupled with sharp analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • A proactive nature, adept at balancing multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with solid interpersonal skills for both internal teams and external partners
  • Proficient with procurement systems and the MS Office Suite, enabling swift management of procurement activities
