PwC is offering an Edge Deals traineeship starting 1 September 2026 for talented students in the final phase of their studies or recent Master’s graduates who are eager to put their M&A knowledge into practice.

What you will do

The Edge Deals traineeship offers you the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded (international) Deals consultant within eighteen months. During this period, you will have the chance to rotate across three of the nine different competency teams or start within a dedicated department. This allows you to gain hands-on experience and broaden your understanding of the various challenges that arise in different stages of a transaction process. In addition, you will follow a tailored learning & development programme designed to help you develop your leadership and soft skills.

PwC Deals has a strong, leading market position in the Netherlands and consists of around 300 professionals. PwC Deals (NL) is part of a broader European and global network of PwC firms, enabling cross-border deal activities. You will also benefit from the knowledge and experience of thousands of Deals professionals around the world. The international network offers exchange opportunities for Edge trainees after completing the two-year programme.

Your profile

• You take initiative, communicate clearly and enjoy working collaboratively. You know how to prioritise, maintain attention to detail and work towards concrete results, even under tight deadlines.
• You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Business, (Business) Economics or a related field (completed before your start date).
• Above-average academic results, supplemented with relevant extracurricular activities.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; basic knowledge of financial analysis and valuation.
• Interest in strategic issues, finance and mergers & acquisitions.
• Fluent in English.
