Job description
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Copywriter to join us on a 7 month contract. You’ll own packaging copy, manuals and technical product content across multiple categories, taking work from kick-off to final, production-ready delivery.
We’re an in-house creative team focused on delivering print-ready packaging for a wide range of fast-moving retail products. Our work combines creativity with commercial impact. This isn’t a traditional agency environment, we work at pace, within real production timelines, and value clarity, structure, and precision. We’re looking for people with a practical mindset who can confidently drive projects forward independently. You should be comfortable in a high-pressure, high-volume environment and able to deliver retail ready work from day one.
What will you do?
- Own packaging copy, manuals and technical product content from kick-off to final print-ready delivery.
- Gather and validate product information from Quality Control, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Translate technical and regulatory information into clear, consumer friendly copy.
- Ensure all mandatory legal elements are correct and compliant (warnings, icons, claims, certifications).
- Prepare structured, design ready copy packages for Designers.
- Manage translation flows, including briefing agencies, reviewing translations and processing feedback.
- Maintain accurate version control and documentation across studio systems.
- Perform detailed copy checks during design and pre-press phases.
- Proactively identify risks, inconsistencies, or missing inputs before finalization.
- Work closely with Designers, Buyers, Project Managers, Quality Control and Traffic.
- Deliver consistent, retail-ready output across multiple categories under tight deadlines.
Job requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Copywriter focused on packaging copy, user manuals or technical product content within retail or non-food FMCG.
- Proven experience working across multiple consumer product categories.
- Strong experience creating print ready packaging copy and manuals.
- Good understanding of regulatory packaging requirements (icons, warnings, claims, certifications, country specific rules).
- Experience working in high volume, production driven environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Solid experience managing and reviewing translations (agency and machine based).
- Experience working with AI-supported copy and translation tools.
- Affinity with retail, private label, and commercially driven packaging.
- Familiarity with international production workflows (EU / CN).
