Global OT and Automation Engineering Manager (W/M)

Danone is looking for a Global OT and Automation Engineering Manager (W/M) to join the Global Future Engineering team, reporting to the OT Solutions Director.

The position will be based at the Danone Group Headquarters in France at Rueil Malmaison - (18 months - temporary contract) OR Amsterdam, Netherlands (12 months leading to permanent contract).

Interacting with global engineering experts in processing, packaging and utilities, key missions are:

• Automation: Design and define best available OT solutions enabling the manufacturing performance. This includes PLC and HMI communication and network protocols, data management and OT cyber security aspects, at manufacturing level.
• Digital readiness: develop solutions aligned with group std for data extraction and integration from process equipment’s, packaging machines and utilities providing structured information to key users and digital manufacturing systems
• Plant infrastructure: implement projects in line with target IT/OT architecture and data integration considering instrumentation, automation, Scada, data servers and industrial networks

With a scope of 150+ factories, your main accountabilities are:

• Developing the Automation & Control Systems strategy in line with the Global Engineering strategy that supports the current and future manufacturing excellence landscape.
• Work with the relevant teams within Danone at global, regional, and local level to design and develop an industry leading automation and control systems strategy.
• Innovate via technological POC’s, pilots and deployment of OT solutions for productivity (advanced control, …)
• Define mid/long term projects and capital requirements to develop OT master plans across the regions.
• Support local teams in identification of risks and remediation plans related to obsolescence
• Support the deployment of cybersecurity solutions defined and supported by IT teams
• Ensuring the right talent and capabilities are in place at regional level to meet the strategic objectives of the function. Communicate and train key stakeholders internally and externally to ensure change management and sustainable deployment of global standards on Automation & OT

About you

• Master’s degree with at least 10 years of experience on Operational Technologies from sensors, PLC, SCADA and industrial servers: design, installation, and operation preferably in food industry
• Experience on processing automation – process description, programming, tests, and commissioning
• Good knowledge on deployment on ITOT solutions for Cybersecurity
• Experience on PLC/SCADA migrations for obsolescence management
• Trusted automation & controls systems expert
• Critical thinking considering both business and technical aspects for sustainable solutions
• Change leadership capability and senior stakeholder management
• Outstanding interpersonal and naturally multicultural with preferably international background.
• Solutions finder and fast listening/understanding.
• Ready to travel (50% of the time)
• English mandatory, French recommended
