As the AI Automation Architect & Lead, you will spearhead the transformation of internal operations and client business processes. Your mission is to identify inefficiencies and replace "messy" manual work with streamlined, AI-driven architectures. You will act as the primary driver for AI initiatives, moving quickly from process discovery to functional prototyping.
This is a high-impact, project-based role designed for a "Technical Generalist" who can bridge the gap between complex business processes and cutting-edge AI solutions. You won't just be building tools; you’ll be the lead strategist and executor responsible for auditing workflows and deploying the AI systems that transform them.
Job description
What You Will Do:
- Process Discovery & Audit: Deep-dive into internal and client workflows to identify high-ROI automation opportunities.
- Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end systems connecting LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Llama) with existing tools like CRMs and ERPs.
- Hands-on Development: Build and deploy AI agents, RAG pipelines, and workflows using Python and low-code platforms.
- Project Leadership: Manage timelines and stakeholder communication to ensure high adoption rates for new tools.
- Continuous Optimization: Monitor performance, iterate on prompts, and ensure the long-term reliability of deployed automations.
Requirements
What We Ask:
- AI Implementation: Deep experience with LLM orchestration (LangChain, CrewAI, or similar) and advanced prompt engineering.
- Programming: High proficiency in Python for data processing and API integration.
- Automation Platforms: Expert-level knowledge of n8n, Make.com, or Zapier.
- Data Management: Experience setting up Vector Databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or Chroma.
- System Integration: Strong understanding of REST APIs and webhooks to "glue" disparate systems together.
About You:
- Strategic & Analytical: You don't just build for the sake of building; you can calculate the cost-benefit analysis of an automation first.
- Master Communicator: You can translate complex AI concepts into plain English for non-technical stakeholders.
- Extreme Owner: You have a proven track record of taking a vague idea and turning it into a fully deployed solution independently.
- Fast-Paced: You thrive in environments where you can map a process on Monday and have a functional prototype running by Friday.
Benefits
What we offer:
- A competitive salary tailored to your experience (€6000-€7000).
- 30 days of holiday to rest and recharge.
- Hybrid working: flexibility to work from home or at our Utrecht office (ideally 2 days per week).
- Travel reimbursement (€0.23/km, NS Business Card or e-bike lease).
- A laptop and €45 monthly phone allowance.
- Room to grow, develop yourself, and help build a strong team.
- You’ll work with people who want to move forward. Fast thinkers, sharp minds, and teammates who love to create great things together. At Small Giants, you’ll get the space to build, the freedom to experiment, and colleagues who think with you.
