To support our growth, we’re seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Manager to join our team and be instrumental in expanding our presence in the UK, US and Benelux market.

About the Role
In this role, you'll own your markets, driving sales strategy and execution to maximize customer ROI. You'll manage your own book of business, from identifying and targeting new customers to crafting compelling cases and sealing deals, overseeing 40-70 high-value opportunities with precision.
Wonderkind partners with mid-to-large-size enterprises, looking to transform their talent acquisition strategy. You will be selling directly to Heads of Talent, HR Directors and C-Level decision-makers.
Beyond execution, you'll shape outreach, ensuring data quality and impactful touchpoints. This role demands an entrepreneurial spirit, sharp prospecting skills, a consultative approach, and a relentless drive to surpass targets. You'll also contribute to a dynamic team, sharing knowledge, improving sales processes, and elevating customer engagement.
KPIs
- New deals closed: Achieve monthly and quarterly sales quotas — achieving a minimum of 3 deals per month.
- Revenue & margin contribution: Contribute directly to company revenue and margin goals.
- Pipeline metrics: Maintain a healthy and measurable pipeline; track conversion rates from lead → opportunity → closed deal. Bringing in a minimum of 20 opportunities on a monthly basis.
- Conversion: Execute calls / meetings / outreach touchpoints weekly to ensure consistent pipeline flow. Bringing your conversion from opportunity to deal to 30%
Responsibilities
- Closing new deals: Own the hunt for new customers — consistently prospect, book, and run high-quality meetings that generate pipeline.
- Strategic selling: Navigate prospects through the full sales cycle with speed and precision, building business cases that win deals.
- Excellent pipeline management: Manage a pipeline of 40–70 opportunities, driving momentum and converting them into revenue.
- Mentoring & team enablement: Leverage junior team members to enhance efficiency while focusing on high-impact activities.
- Eagerness to hunt: Combine automated outreach flawlessly with (cold) calling to boost your own activity and create engagement.
- Commercial awareness: Master the commercial landscape to diagnose prospect challenges and strategically position Wonderkind as the differentiated, mission-critical solution.
- Sell the why, not the how: Master our platform and pitch it with confidence, showing clear ROI to every decision-maker and prioritising value over cost.
- Fuel your growth: Build and execute a growth strategy for your market, providing accurate forecasts and hitting ambitious but realistic targets.
- Getting better never stops: Push the team forward; bring new ideas that sharpen our sales motions and scale results.
Required Competences
- Proven Track Record: 3+ years driving new business in SaaS — whether entering new markets, breaking into new sectors, or launching new products. You know what it takes to land new customers from scratch.
- Prospecting Machine: Relentless at building your own pipeline. Skilled in outbound, social selling, and creative ways to get in front of decision-makers, with a history of turning cold leads into closed deals.
- Strategic Operator: Able to spot and prioritize the right targets, craft a winning angle, and position value in a way that gets buy-in fast.
- Target Obsessed: You set daily, weekly, and monthly goals — and then smash them. Numbers drive you, and you’re wired to compete and win.
- Pipeline Discipline: HubSpot (or any CRM) isn’t just a tracker for you — it’s your playbook. You run a clean, measurable process that keeps the team aligned and forecasts sharp.
- Consultative Communicator: You listen with intent, ask the right questions, and guide prospects toward clarity — making the close a logical next step.
- Autonomous Closer: You thrive on independence, own your market like it’s your business, and deliver results without hand-holding.
