For our team in Leiden, we are looking for an enthusiastic Lab Support Technician.

In this position you will provide lab support to the team carrying our early development studies into new large molecule pharmaceuticals. You will be required to adhere to GxP guidelines, and your activities will include:

  • Perform sample measurements and other hands-on laboratory tasks to support peak workloads.
  • Assist with the calibration, verification, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
  • Manage laboratory inventory by placing orders, restocking materials, and monitoring usage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment through routine cleaning and equipment care.
  • Support compliant chemical and biological waste disposal activities.
  • Carry out 6S/Safety walks and contribute to timely completion of follow-up actions.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulatory GxP requirements and internal procedures.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and promptly report incidents or near-misses.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help advance 5S/Lean practices across the laboratory.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

  • MLO degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences or related sciences.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical environment and knowledge of GxP is preferred.
  • You are flexible and proactive.
  • You enjoy working in a team and communicate well.
  • You are accurate and have great attention to detail.
  • You can work independently.
  • You are a quick learner who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • You are self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • You enjoy volunteering your ideas and working on continuously improving your environment.
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written).
