Join us as an Integrated Warehouse & Distribution (IWD) Engineer and become part of the IWD team at our Best site—one of the main Operations hubs for Health Systems within Philips. Our IWD team delivers high-quality services to the Best factory and distribution center. We are looking for an inspiring IWD Engineer to strengthen our core warehousing and distribution processes.
Your Role as Warehouse Engineer
As a Warehouse Engineer, you will be the driving force behind continuous improvement of all processes within our warehouse and distribution center. You will analyze bottlenecks, identify opportunities for improvement, and design efficient workflows. Acting as the essential link between logistics operations, IT, and management, you ensure smooth and optimized processes.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Analyze existing warehouse processes (receiving, storage, order picking, shipping) and identify inefficiencies using data analysis.
Project Management: Initiate and lead improvement projects, such as implementing a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) or automation initiatives.
System Administration: Manage logistics information systems and act as key user for the WMS.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor system performance and translate data into actionable insights and improvements.
Collaboration: Serve as the bridge between operations, management, and external IT vendors. Train new users on proper system usage.
Innovation: Contribute ideas for the future of our warehouse/logistics services and explore the latest technologies.
New Product Introduction: Design logistics processes for new product launches.
You are a part of
You are part of the IWD (Integrated warehouse & distribution) logistics group in Best, which consists of several members each responsible for key activities within the warehouse domain. You will report into the IWD manager Best.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (HBO level), preferably in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
Experience: Several years of relevant experience in a similar role as logistics engineer, process engineer, or application administrator.
Knowledge: Proven expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS). Experience with WMS implementation is a strong plus.
Skills: Strong analytical ability, solution-oriented, proactive, and excellent communication skills.
Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English.
