About the Role
Are you passionate about biomedical research and eager to contribute to innovative therapies? We are looking for a Research Technician to join our multidisciplinary team working on strategies to prevent radiation-induced side effects. This position is part of a Dutch Cancer Society-funded project and offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact in translational research.
What You Will Do
Your Working Environment
You will be appointed at the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) and collaborate closely with the Molecular Cell Biology section of the Department of Biomedical Sciences of Cells and Systems. Our team combines expertise in radiobiology, molecular biology, and translational medicine to improve patient outcomes. This 0.7FTE research technician position is supervised by Dr. Peter van Luijk and Dr. Julia Wiedemann.
The group of Dr. Peter van Luijk performs translational research on side effects of radiation therapy. In this project you will contribute to the testing of medication for preventing cardiopulmonary side effects of tumours of the thorax.
