As a Senior Data & AI Designer, you will have the opportunity to bring together the Design and Data & AI domains, designing solutions that have a real impact on staff and patient experiences. This includes developing intuitive ways of interacting with data through visual analytics, enhancing human-AI collaboration by designing AI interactions, creating customer-centric data collection experiences to improve data quality (UX Telemetry), and ensuring these insights integrate seamlessly into workflows and care pathways. You will collaborate with both designers and non-designers, engaging in technical dialogues to ensure our experience perspective is well embedded.

You are responsible for:

  • Building differentiating Data & AI propositions encompassing data that are relevant to our end users
  • Gathering, structuring, and visualizing data to translate it into insights
  • Supporting other designers in embedding Data & AI into their design practice
  • Bridging design capabilities with data science/AI capabilities
  • Designing and prototyping novel AI solutions

You are a part of:

The Data & AI Design team, a group of designers with expertise in UX, visualization, user experience research, prototyping, and service design. The team is part of a global community of over 400 designers, working on both business and research-driven projects.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • University degree (WO/HBO) in Design, HCI, or Computer Science, combined with 7 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a design environment and value proposition building
  • Hands-on programming skills (Data Visualization Libraries such as D3, Reactive JavaScript Frameworks such as React, NodeJS, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence
  • Ability to independently act in both innovation and business projects
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written

How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
