Join Our Instrumentation Engineering Team as a Metering Specialist
Purpose
We are looking for a skilled Metering Specialist to join our instrumentation engineering team. The successful candidate will focus on the engineering, design, and optimization of metering systems to ensure accurate measurement and reporting of hydrocarbon production, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Metering System Engineering: Lead the design, engineering, and testing of Fiscal, Custody Transfer, Allocation, and Operational metering systems as well as prover systems, ensuring they meet operational, client, and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure all metering systems comply with relevant industry standards, including API Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards (MPMS) for hydrocarbon liquids and AGA requirements for gas measurement, including relevant analyzers. Experience with ANP and Inmetro requirements for Brazilian projects would be an advantage.
- Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications and datasheets to enable a metering system integrator to design and build the metering system as an overall package, usually as one or more skids.
- Package Engineering: Manage the metering system package from conception through to completion, including technical bid evaluation, scheduling, vendor document review, and testing at vendor premises and possibly at the final installation location.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving metering systems and implement best practices.
Education
- Engineer Diploma in relevant discipline
Experience
- 5 to 10 years in Oil & Gas Industry
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Familiarity with offshore (class) regulations.
- FPSO experience would be an advantage.
