As a Security Awareness Communication Professional, you help shape a human-centered security‑first culture for more than 9,500 colleagues worldwide. Through clear, engaging and accessible communication, you make complex security topics understandable and actionable. From campaigns and newsletters to events and engagement activities—you translate security concepts into behaviour that strengthens Rabobank’s overall resilience.

  • Gross monthly salary between EUR 4,931 and EUR 7,043 (scale 09) for a 36-hour work week.

About the role

You are a hands‑on communication professional with up to 3 years of experience and a passion for translating complex information into simple, human language. You enjoy writing, storytelling, and designing internal communication that actually drives behaviour. You collaborate with subject matter experts, create impactful content, and contribute to interventions that go beyond knowledge sharing—such as events, engagement programs, and learning activities.

  • Develop and execute global internal security awareness campaigns.
  • Create and update content for internal channels such as SharePoint, Viva Engage and newsletters.
  • Help design and run internal events and engagement activities.
  • Support the narrative and promotion of security learning interventions, trainings and drills.
  • Monitor and measure engagement to continuously improve the awareness approach.

Your responsibilities (top 5)

  • Translate complex security topics into clear, accessible, engaging messaging.
  • Develop, execute and maintain global internal campaigns and newsletters.
  • Collaborate closely with SMEs and colleagues in Learning, Drill & Awareness.
  • Manage and energize our internal community and engagement channels.
  • Measure and report on communication effectiveness to improve our strategy.

You & Your Talent

  • University or HBO degree (preferably corporate communications or related).
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience in communications.
  • Strong communication/writing skills in both Dutch and English (mandatory).
  • A proactive, hands‑on mentality and a strong growth mindset.
  • Experience or strong interest in security, data protection, behaviour change, or culture change.
  • Experience with SharePoint is preferred but not required.
  • Nice‑to‑have: familiarity with frameworks like SANS SSAP, CISM, COM‑B, Behaviour Change Wheel, or Employee Engagement Communications.
