Assistant Vice President – Division and Zone Controlling

What will you do?

This role is the pillar of the PPD NA and US controlling finance team and supports the VP of Zone Controlling as well as the SVP Finance of PPD NA. It entails driving the financial planning cycles for the division and ensuring the key financial metrics, P&L and others, are delivered in alignment with the NA Zone and WW PPD division; by collaborating with the finance leaders of PPD brands, SalonCentric, Canada, and BEST. This role also involves leading certain divisional and Zone projects, such as new system or Norms implementation, and ensuring the accurate and successful integration of new acquisitions from a reporting and consolidation standpoint.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for Consolidated and Management of Total PPD USA P&L and Profitability.
• Responsible of target setting of Sales and Profit for Countries and to BUs within US
• Responsible for SG&A analysis; working closely with BEST SG&A team, SalonCentric Finance, and Brand Controllers
• Manage Finance Calendar to ensure all teams meet ALL deadlines.
• Responsible for Capital for PPD Affaires.
• Lead the monthly closing with accounting and provide final validation before closing the books.
• Provide monthly deck for Flash commentary to SVP of Finance, NA and WW.
• Provide monthly P&L close Bridge to SVP of Finance
• Ensure timely and accurate publication of Actuals, Trends and Budgets to Zone and WW
• Maintain brand risks and opportunities and reports any issues to Leadership Team. Ensure profit targets are met
• Prepare annual impairment tests and manages restatements and restructuring costs.
• Responsible for submission of LE P&L (1H or Annual) on a monthly basis.
• Liaison to Corporate, Accounting, WW Division and BEST Organization.
• Responsible for the preparation, analysis and transmission of a variety of divisional finance reports in accordance with corporate requirements.
• Key Contact for all Finance team issues and adhoc requests.
