As a business development analyst at KLM, you will work on commercial projects that strengthen our cargo activities and innovate with data-driven solutions.

The world is at your feet as a business development analyst at KLM. Not only will you work on commercial projects that strengthen our cargo activities and innovate with data-driven solutions, but you will also find yourself in a dynamic international environment where no two days are the same. At KLM, you have the chance to continuously challenge yourself and grow.

What will you do?

As a business development analyst, you are part of the Business Development team within the Benelux market organization, the largest air cargo market for AFKL Cargo. You use data-driven analyses to identify commercial opportunities, improve processes, and support sales teams. You lead projects, develop tools and dashboards, manage product segments, and work closely with sales, pricing, and revenue management. In doing so, you make a direct contribution to improved performance, higher revenues, and a stronger market position.

Furthermore:

  • You lead commercial projects that contribute to increasing the sales of premium products;
  • You improve commercial processes by developing dashboards and performance insights;
  • You manage the performance of product segments by guiding sales and forecasting revenues;
  • You coordinate pricing, contracting, and capacity rounds together with sales and central teams;
  • You contribute to strategic and analytical responsibilities within the commercial team.

In summary: you will take on a wide range of leadership, strategic, and analytical responsibilities within the commercial team of Air France KLM Martinair Cargo.

Where do you land?

Air France KLM Martinair Cargo is the cargo division of the Air France KLM Group and offers a global (cargo) network through two hubs: Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. We transport a wide variety of goods to all corners of the world, both in the cargo capacity of passenger aircraft and in our freighters. Think of flowers from Aalsmeer to New York for Mother’s Day, live pandas from China to the Netherlands for a breeding program, or COVID-19 vaccines during the pandemic. In this process, the Business Development team translates customer market feedback into a well-founded pricing and product strategy.

The commercial cargo organization sells the cargo capacity of the Air France KLM Group, including Martinair, as well as that of several partner airlines such as Delta Airlines. In addition, our group invests heavily in the digitalization of our operations.
