NACO is searching for a Senior Project Manager. Ready to lead future proof airport planning projects? Become an integral member of our international team, where your project management expertise will drive the delivery of innovative airport solutions. You’ll develop and deliver projects through effective coordination and oversight, while guiding and mentoring aviation professionals.

What you do as a Senior Project Manager

You will become part of the airport strategy & planning team, which brings together a diverse group of talented airport planners, architects, and consultants. Collaborating closely, this team delivers comprehensive airport planning services to clients worldwide.

In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, engage directly with our international clients, and gain a thorough understanding of their needs to ensure successful project delivery. You will be responsible for writing proposals, overseeing design and consulting projects, and collaborating closely with partners such as internal signature architects, strategy consulting firms, and local design firms to achieve project goals.

You are the primary point of contact with the client about the project and coordinate deadlines and results with the various disciplines within NACO. In short, you can expect to:

  • Manage projects for our airport clients globally;
  • Take financial responsibility for projects;
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams with a focus on airport planning;
  • Maintain client interface and client management;
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members.

Where you will work

At Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy that combines engineering, design, and consultancy services with software and technology. Our mission, "Enhancing Society Together," drives us to create a positive impact on the world.

We offer purpose-driven and challenging work in diverse international projects, leveraging our 140+ years of expertise. We collaborate with leading clients in markets such as infrastructure, climate resilience, renewable energy, decarbonisation of industry, and sustainable mobility.

You will be part of the Airport Strategy and Planning advisory group in Delft, part of NACO, where we work with colleagues on airport projects for international clients. Working alongside our many experts, we deliver on projects for some of the busiest airports in the world.

What you bring

You are an experienced professional with a proven international track record of leading multidisciplinary teams. You excel at communicating effectively across all organizational levels, engaging in meaningful dialogue with both technical designers and senior management. Your cultural awareness ensures that your communication remains clear and impactful in diverse, international environments.

You have a proven ability to develop sustainable solutions that effectively balance financial, functional, operational, social, and environmental considerations, all with the aim of achieving future proof airports.

In addition, you have:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a design or consultancy firm
  • Master’s degree in design or planning
  • Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging presentations and reports
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with international clients and multidisciplinary internal teams
