Are you finishing your Master’s degree and looking for an inspiring place to write your thesis? Then come and complete your thesis with the Risk & Regulations team within Broader Assurance Services at PwC.

It’s a chance to develop your professional skills, get to know our people, and see how risk management, regulation, and digitalisation come together in practice. You don’t need to have a topic when you apply. Your supervisor and buddy will help you from day one to choose and refine a theme that fits your background and our work.

Within the Risk & Regulations team, we help organisations not only manage risks but use them strategically. In a world where risks evolve quickly and regulation is becoming increasingly complex, we support clients in the financial sector (banks, insurers, pension funds) as well as in the commercial and public sectors to be future‑ready. In our team, we combine deep subject-matter expertise with modern digital tools such as AI, data analytics, and automation. We improve processes, enhance compliance, and make organisations future‑focused. Think of topics like DORA, pension reforms, SOX, NIS2, and other current laws and regulations.

This is what you’ll do

You will focus primarily on your research, while getting plenty of opportunities to get to know our field. Beyond the content, we find it just as important that you quickly feel at home within our team and get to know PwC’s culture.

During your internship you will:

  • Take part in team discussions, internal trainings, knowledge sessions, and social activities, so you get a clear view of our work and culture;
  • Discover how we help clients with questions around risk management, digitalisation, and compliance;
  • Meet colleagues from different disciplines across PwC, giving you a broad and realistic picture of our domain;
  • Gain insight into how technology, data, and automation shape our services;
  • Potentially be involved in client engagements.

You recognize yourself in this

We’re looking for ambitious and curious master’s students who want to grow—both substantively and personally. In addition:

  • You’re in the final phase of your master’s in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Economics, Business Information Management, Innovation Management, Industrial Engineering and Management, or a comparable field;
  • You’re available for at least 3 months, for a minimum of 3 days per week;
  • You’re fluent in Dutch and English;
  • You see this internship as a valuable step toward a future career at PwC.

What we offer

At PwC, you’ll have the opportunity to be yourself, perform at your best in a high‑performance organisation and grow within our global network. As part of our team, we offer:

  • A competitive internship allowance, reimbursement of travel expenses if you don’t have a student public transport card, and a PwC laptop;
  • A personalised internship programme where collaboration with colleagues is central and you can rely on expert guidance to successfully complete your studies;
  • Access to an extensive learning environment where you can immerse yourself in different disciplines and get to know your potential future employer;
  • Personal development of your interpersonal and business skills by getting a behind‑the‑scenes look at a leading professional services firm;
  • Hybrid working at the client, from home, and at the office;
  • Fun, informal activities with your team.
