Imagine working with a high-performance team on complex financing transactions for Rabobank’s Corporate clients and Financial Sponsors or working on equity investments, whilst being able to get the most out of yourself through the personal growth plan offered through our Rabobank Traineeship: Wholesale Banking. You will get the chance to rotate in departments within our Advisory & Investment teams. You will enjoy a steep learning curve, working in a stimulating environment with talented and ambitious colleagues, and develop a network within the corporate departments of the bank whilst learning from your fellow Young Professionals.

Our open, tolerant and cooperative team culture goes hand in hand with top-level commercial and technical skills as well as an outstanding knowledge of the market. With offices around the globe, Advisory & Investments offers extensive cross-border execution capabilities supported by a diverse and engaged team.

If this triggers you, imagine yourself rotating in, for example, these teams:

  • Originating, structuring and executing equity and equity related products such as IPOs, secondary offerings, block trades and more in our Equity Capital Markets team.
  • Providing expertise to resolve unique client needs through advising on capital structure related to corporate events, as well as contributing to the bank’s origination efforts through product-agnostic pitching in our Capital Structuring & Advisory team.
  • Providing tailored advice, originating and executing complex transactions in our Corporate Finance (Mergers & Acquisitions) team.
  • Originating, structuring and executing (i) direct equity investments across the full lifecycle (start-ups, scale-ups and established companies), thereby supporting companies in realizing their growth ambitions and (ii) fund investments, in our Rabobank Investments team.

Making a difference

  • Preparing client visits and top-notch pitching materials.
  • Tracking market developments.
  • Contributing to financial analyses, modelling, valuation and client relationship work.
  • Synthesizing company information (including its markets, products and competitors and transactions) and analysing customer’s needs to develop pro-active solutions (together with senior members).
  • Contributing to the major global transitions through Rabobank’s strategic pillars Banking4NL, Banking4Food and Banking4Energy.

Why join the team?

“The Rabobank Advisory & Investments Traineeship presents the ideal opportunity to develop into a well-rounded finance professional by gaining exposure to different departments across the Bank. It allowed me to discover which area best matches my skillset and long-term ambitions, whilst further strengthening the necessary foundations for a career in investment banking.”

Your development as a trainee

In the Rabobank Traineeship, you will work on your personal development for 18 months. This includes personal leadership, relevant skills, and various themes such as sustainability, as well as learning how a bank operates.

You will meet fellow trainees from different departments weekly, and on other days you will work within your own team. Through rotations and assignments, you will get to know a large part of the bank. You will be guided by a Young Talent Manager, who will challenge you to reflect and delve deeper into your development.
