Guide Energy Projects with Magnus Energy

WHO WE ARE

Magnus Energy helps organisations navigate the energy transition. As one of Europe’s leading energy consultancies, we support system operators, energy suppliers, regulatory authorities and many others from strategy through to delivery. From setting a new direction and reshaping organisations, to moving projects forward, delivering change and optimising operations.

Our diverse international team includes technical experts, programme managers, management consultants and pragmatic problem-solvers. With 25+ nationalities across five European hubs, we cover every aspect of the energy transition - working towards a secure, sustainable and affordable energy system, and a bright future for all.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Business & Technology Consultant, you work on complex transformation challenges in the energy domain, where business, technology and operations come together. You will be part of a core, senior team and contribute to projects that require both analytical thinking and practical execution.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the translation of business and system challenges into structured analyses and concrete improvement initiatives.
  • Work on topics such as process optimisation, digitalisation, data & reporting, IT/OT-related change and organisational impact.
  • Develop robust, well-founded deliverables that are used in decision-making and implementation – not just presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with client teams and Magnus colleagues, learning how to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Take responsibility for clearly scoped tasks or work packages, with guidance from senior consultants.
  • Build your professional skills through on-the-job learning, feedback and collaboration with experienced transformation specialists and technical advisors across Europe.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for professionals who want to grow at the intersection of business, technology and the energy transition. This role is ideal for consultants or sector professionals who want to deepen their expertise while working on meaningful transformation work.

Our ideal candidate will bring:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Technology, Energy or a related discipline) with excellent grades.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in consulting, transformation projects or complex organisational environments.
  • Interest in business and technology-driven change, such as digital transformation, process improvement or technology-related initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and structuring skills, with attention to quality and detail.
  • The ability to work effectively in team-based and client-facing settings.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take responsibility for your own development.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English (C1)

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A stimulating working environment: a team of around 120 consultants and experts. All motivated professionals who respect each other and want to learn from each other. No egos, but commitment and fun.
  • A truly international team: Our international team with 25+ nationalities works from offices in Naarden (the Netherlands) and satellite offices in Cologne (Germany), Brussels (Belgium), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Vienna (Austria).
  • A flexible way of working: Working for a variety of clients across Europe, we offer a flexible work environment tuned to the new work approach.
  • A unique opportunity for professional growth: We highly value the professional growth of our team. You will learn most "on the job" in this challenging position and work environment.
  • A professional academy: Next to this, we offer an extensive training program. Our Magnus Energy Academy provides a diverse programme, from courses targeting the skills and knowledge needed to perform as a consultant in the energy sector, to more specialised courses designed to complement your chosen growth path. We are always developing new trainings to keep meeting our consultants’ needs.
  • And, most importantly, the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable and resilient energy system across Europe - and a bright future for all.

Magnus Energy helps to build strong energy systems that fully incorporate renewables. Balancing sustainability, security, and affordability. Navigating the challenges of the ever-evolving energy transition.
Our technical experts conceptualise changes in models, grids and regulations. We manage complex programs, fostering trust and progress in international cooperation. Additionally, we advise individual organisations in navigating the energy transition.
