THE POSITION

As Tender Manager, you take a leading role within the Product Line Marine Biodiversity in the Tendering and Engineering department. You focus on Ocean Health tenders and the environmental scope within tenders from other Product Lines. You help colleagues see where Marine Biodiversity adds value and guide them in using nature-inclusive solutions in bid strategies. You strengthen the growing Ocean Health business line by shaping clear products and bringing these to the attention of clients and internal teams. You take part in the Product Line Core Team and help drive our ambition to grow in nature-based and ecosystem-focused work.

YOUR IMPACT

Your work creates opportunities for embedding healthy ecosystems in our projects across the world. You translate environmental needs into strategies that win tenders and strengthen the position of Ocean Health. You support other product lines with ecological knowledge and help them substantiate the environmental scope of their tenders. You bring structure, clarity, and creativity and you challenge teams to think differently. You help open new markets and new clients by showing how our nature-inclusive solutions create value. You guide your tender team with confidence and inspire colleagues to turn ideas into tangible results.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Ocean Health tenders
  • Bringing ecological and environmental expertise into tenders of other Product Lines
  • Participating in the Product Line Core Team and contributing to strategic decisions
  • Strengthening the development and implementation of ecological solutions
  • Supporting business development by securing new opportunities and new clients

YOUR WORKPLACE

You join the Tendering and Engineering department, the technical and strategic heart of our company. Teams within T&E combine knowledge from engineering, ecology, and commercial functions. You work in an open and collaborative group that values trust, curiosity, and teamwork. Within the Product Line Marine Biodiversity, you work with a product line manager, an engineering manager, a specialist ecology, a cost engineer, and a team of dedicated ecologists. Together, you shape the future of nature-related work at Van Oord.

ABOUT YOU

For this position, we are looking for someone who has the ability to create, organize, and structure. On top of that, you:

  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a project or tender environment
  • Are proactive, show leadership, and are process minded
  • Are dedicated to healthy ecosystems
  • Have affinity with technology
  • Have a degree at HBO or WO level
